Bobby Petrino has agreed to become the next offensive coordinator at Arkansas, and the two sides are finalizing the deal, sources told ESPN on Tuesday.
The hiring of Petrino is expected to require presidential approval, as he was fired for cause during his last stint there.

Before the end of the week, he had sneaked off during the night to become the Arkansas head coach after the 13th game, not even completing an entire season. He never addressed the team, leaving them a note taped to their lockers. He told the coaches he would talk with them at a later time, a time that never came. Former Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer was Petrino’s defensive coordinator for those 13 games. In 2010 Zimmer was asked in an interview about Petrino, and he didn’t hold back, calling him a “coward”, and my personal favorite, a “gutless bastard”.
