    It’s certainly easier to forecast, but it suffers from a lot of the same problems as other natural disasters - low income families, the elderly, and people experiencing homelessness require additional assistance we are oh so often poorly resourced to provide.

    As these things become more common I hope we can see more clearly identified and accessible climate shelters appearing in communities of need

      Definitely true that some are more effective than others. However there are learned practices that make dealing with these much safer (eg. Blackout/closed curtains during the day time, emphasising water, allowing people to stay from from work on extreme heat days etc.)
