A Toronto court sentenced a Canadian man to life imprisonment in a deadly stabbing attack at a massage parlor, in a landmark case that saw a Canadian judge designating an incel-inspired crime as terrorism for the first time.

The defendant, Oguzhan Sert, carried out his February 2020 attack “after extensively researching the incel culture,” Justice Sukhail Akhtar said Tuesday, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. “He sought it out, he accepted it and he acted upon it,” the judge said, adding that he did not believe Sert’s claims that he was brainwashed by the ideology.

24 years old. Her life had only just begun and this psycho has the chance of getting out while he’s still in his early 30s. It just doesn’t seem fair.

Canadian justice is a joke. Eat and cannibalize a person? Here’s some pills, hope you don’t do it again!

Its called culpability and I think all legal systems include it in their decision making. Like are you culpable for murder if you gave someone covid and they died, should you get life in prison. If you stab someone a bunch of times you are probably more culpable though. And all the in between is for the justice system to figure out. I hate it in a lot of cases too. Lots of things are broken but I always debate is it better to have that or a more strict system where it isn’t factored in.
