Hello fellow travelers!

I’m planning a trip to Bulgaria and Turkey, and I’m considering crossing the land border between the two countries by bus. I would love to hear from anyone who has experience with this route and could provide some guidance.

Here are a few questions I have:

Has anyone traveled by bus from Bulgaria to Turkey or vice versa? What was your experience like?

How long does the bus journey take from the Bulgarian border to the Turkish border, and are there any significant delays to be expected?

I appreciate any insights, tips, or personal experiences you can share. Thank you in advance for your help!

Happy travels!

Any real issues or delays at the border. I did Albania to Greece a few months back and we were sitting at the border for hours upon hours, they just weren’t checking anyone.

Trying to figure out if it is worth it to fly to avoid a painful crossing or if the crossing is decent.

Fair, thank you for the advice. The transport i was looking at was an overnight bus aswell. So i think i might just send it and hope for the best. Worst comes to wrose if it is an aids crossing i can always just spend the next day sleeping!
