I did notice a change but didn’t realize it looks more like apple maps (haven’t tried using it). It doesn’t really bother me though. As long as it can get me to where I need to go efficiently, I’m fine. I actually like the change of color for light traffic from green to blue. The only thing I wish they’d do is display the speed limit at all times even when you’re not navigating and the app is just open.

True, thus an odd choice for them not to have the feature enabled or in settings at least for the Google Maps app
I think they bought it to snag a competitor but no one there cares to make their own app better. Google is just too big to function.
