I’m surprised the refs rating is so high. How many times did we see Xhaka given a yellow for his first challenge for a buildup of offences across the team? Felt like Barkley alone committed 10 fouls on our wingers by half time.

I felt like the back line wasn’t super cohesive. To be expected though, with Ben starting for the first time in 5 games and Kiwior without much game time at all. I blame Raya for conceding two relatively shitty goals, but I also think the backs could’ve done more to help him out.

I think it’s a case of severely lowered expectations. We are so used to seeing absolute travesty performances and flagrantly horrible blunders from the refs that when they manage 90+ minutes without doing that, many of us think “hey that ref wasn’t too bad”.

Yeah I don’t think the ref was great lol. To be honest, kinda surprised by most of those ratings. Raya’s feels about right but the rest like, for example I don’t think Martinelli did that much besides the goal but he’s rated higher than Saka so idk lol

Perhaps we need to set some guidelines for scoring? 5 is average, 6-7 is good, 8-9 is MOTM candidate, 10 is absolutely tearing it up out there?

Nah i think they’re fine, people just have different opinions. 1 is worst and 10 is best is enough guideline.

Fair enough - right now the biggest problem is not having enough votes, methinks
