Maybe it’s because I’m inner-city but I find it so intimidating.

  • I’m at waist height to everyone else so I can’t see at a distance in case things get hairy

  • large crowds kinda subconsciously behave like fluid dynamics, ebbing and flowing around obstructions and fast and then slow etc, and I’m a rock blocking the stream

  • I try to stick to the curbs in case I need to leave but inevitably get smushed into the main flow and it’s hard to move diagonally against the grain back to the curb

  • kase

I’ve never been to one, but my only thought is it might help if you could go with one or more friends? I don’t really have any friends rn so I get that this isn’t a good solution for everyone lol.

Anyway, that’s usually what helps me in crowds, having a buffer between me and other people and/or someone to help me steer if needed.

At least, my sister is pretty good at it. I gotta keep an eye out if she’s pushing me tho, cause she always underestimates how close my feet/front wheels are to the people (or walls) in front of me xD
