There’s literally no way to prevent that that doesn’t involve compromising one’s values and the safety of others, so it’s a risk you’ll just have to accept.
I have to accept it just being alive riding on a bus. What makes you think you’re so special that you can just opt out? If you have a car, drive.
Yes, that is what it means to be a principled person. Life is ephemeral and temporary, and you’ll die a worse death from cancer or Alzheimer’s than you will through violence, to start.
Life’s not all about you and your ability to continue shoveling food in your face and arguing on the internet. You are a social animal and therefore you have a moral obligation to put others before you, especially in violent situations where someone else’s life may be in danger.
Is your life more valuable than anyone else’s on that bus?
What happens when the brat starts harassing other passengers (which they do, all the time)? Threatening or hurting people? Sexually assaults someone?
Do you intervene which would protect the others regardless of whether you win the fight or not? Or do you tell yourself your health and livelihood is the only thing that matters and try to justify your cowardice by convincing yourself the cops will somehow magically appear on a moving bus and stop him before he kills her (the victims are typically women)? Even knowing the fascistic and abusive tendences of police, and how they often don’t protect people from violence?
You’re not just a coward, you’re a selfish despicable piece of shit.

The first paragraph made that clear.
Americans who want to confront but can’t afford medcare 🤝 Swedes who have full access to medcare but are afraid of social interaction
I was gonna say that. The guy with the speaker is also the one asking you for coke or heroin on the L.
It’d be worth it if you happen to have weapons yourself, though, simply by virtue of the fact that they are unstable, violent bullies.

And that means what in this context?
