When a double standard is used to claim that other countries such as China are literally hell on Earth for reasons that also apply to the US, and that double standard gets called out, people complain about whataboutism.
But the minute someone says “Hey, maybe US foreign politics are imperialistic” people immediately jump to say “OH but PUTIN!”. Funny how that works.
Russia sucks, China sucks, but this post is about the US, which also sucks.
