Satan has been their ‘arch nemesis’ for hardly any time at all, it’s a very recent addition. Lucifer, as a fallen angel, historically is a pitiable creature, not some BBEG. the church of satan is the only organization I know of that is pushing back against the theocracy in the US, and I think they’re doing it brilliantly.
