Haley is a standard Republican. Trump has a cult following of people who have invaded the party. Trump originally was going to run as a Democrat but didn’t get the nomination. He then switched to Republican where he did.
Had he received the Democrat nomination, the Maga people would have gone Democrat.
The people who vote for Biden, would vote for almost any Democrat. THe people who vote for Trump, most likely wouldn’t vote Republican otherwise.
I know several life long Democrats who voted for Trump. Other than Trump, they don’t like Republicans. He is so disliked, that Republicans were openly telling people to vote for Joe Biden.
That would be devastating for the GOP to lose 11-15% of their voters.
But your numbers don’t work. You say GOP was invaded by MAGA. You say MAGA is 11-15% of GOP voters. Where does Trump’s other 47% (62-15) support come from?
