While I’d be interested to see what Moffat would come up with, I’m not convinced it can be replicated. The West Wing was such a perfect mix of everything - cast, writing, timing, etc. It was lightning in a bottle that’ll be nigh impossible to match. Even Sorkin never got there with Studio 60 or Newsroom. I love both shows, but they never got to the same level as TWW, particularly in popularity.
