This is a community for all things related to The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild … well, all except NSFW material. Everything else is highly welcome here, from helpful links, guides and artworks, to screenshots, achievements, memes, gameplay / lore questions and discussions, challenges, fails, and whatever else you can think of, as long as it doesn’t violate the Lemmy.World Code of Conduct

Lemmy.world currently does not support video uploads, but you can upload videos to other sites (like youtube) and post a link here., or turn them into animated gifs if you don’t care about lack of sound.

I’ve got a kbin magazine, /c/[email protected], with almost 200 subscribers, but no one’s posting. It might help if we merge our communities, if you’re fine with that. Since mine was created earlier and has some more members we could merge into mine but if you really don’t want to give up ownership I can direct to your’s instead. I will of course make you a mod if you want

Oh dang, I was sure there wasn’t already a community when I created mine … must have missed it somehow. But when you say 200 subscribers, then the statistics section confuses me a bit, because when I check [email protected] it says there are only four subscribers…? Does that section measure only the “subscribers on the same instance as you” instead of the total, so depending on where you registered, you get different stats?

EDIT: Merging the communities/magazines/watchamacallits to reach more people sounds like a good idea tho. Is there a way to “keep” both and just share content? I could try crossposting to your instance(?) for a start.

Yea it sadly only shows the amount of subscribers for your instance, which should be changed the merge all of them for better discoverability. On kbin it has almost 200. Most of the time when merges happen on reddit they just lock the subreddit and redirect to the other one in a pinned post, which would keep all the content on the locked sub intact. Im not sure if Lemmy has cross posting yet though, other than just linking to your original post manually

I crossposted 2 test posts yesterday and they’re still intact, so at least that works so far. If it’s okay for you I’d like to stay “over here” and just gradually crosspost my stuff to your instance until there is a better option eventually.

I’ve decided to merge into your community, for multiple reasons but mainly because you’ve got more content here already and since so many people are using lemmy.world (including me, since kbin doesn’t have a mobile app). Plus anyone using lemmy.world is going to see this one has more subscribers and sub to it instead of mine.
