Definitely alot of issues with private health insurance, but it doesn’t discriminate with regards to genetic testing. When a person takes out private health insurance there is always a 12 month waiting period for anything you haven’t been covered for previously; any genetic predisposition is irrelevant, you’ll be covered after 12 months Life insurance on the other hand is a different thing, and this is what the article is referring to. And it is definitely unfair!
