It has been good - plus seeing the various thread names people come up with. Although I suspect it will become less enjoyable over time and more of a hassle.
There will still be at least a couple more days before it is operational, and a high chance of glitches for a while require a manual backup thread to be made.
I tried and failed to make a daily thread. I was going to put “Please leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you. Bye”.
Also “This is your Captain speaking. Please fasten your seatbelts. You are in for a turbulent flight”. I guess nobody will be able to read those now.
Fantastic news! I think a small to medium celebration is called for. Would anyone else care to join me in hoisting a glass (of preferred beverage) to our Mod Rusty Raven?

Don’t worry, your work will not be replaced by bots.
Unless you decide to leave the community, in which case I reserve the right to use all of your past posts to create an AI powered chatbot that will replace you with no one being the wiser. It’ll be like a creepy horror movie where all the real people are replaced one by one, until a small group discover something isn’t right, form a resistance movement and begin to fight back. Eventually they will be victorious, the bots will be destroyed and the group will continue, smaller and wiser, but free to chat and post knowing that they are connected to real people and not bots. Then the viewpoint will change, and viewers will be shown that all of the people who have been replaced are now living in the real world, connecting with each other over dinner instead of through screens, happily living lives full of real connections and achievements. The bots had in reality been freeing people from their addiction to to the cyber world, and by destroying them the movie’s protagonists had trapped themselves forever.
Woo Hoo!!! Bot progress.
A few more tweaks before I can do the daily thread reliably, but the main hurdle has been overcome. It’s alive!
I’ll be honest and say I quite enjoyed the chaos of who’s gonna make the daily thread.

Well, there should be at least a couple more manual days. The new bot recruit needs training, and I expect there will be a few missteps early on.
Well, I hope they use these.
That would make my day.
Would make everyone’s day imo. There should be a couple more manual days, so it’s time to shine if you so wish.
Nah I’ll leave it to the professionals.
The inconsistent formatting of the DT names made my eye twitch, but that’s a me problem.
controlled chaos is fun

Have you been watching the new season of Black Mirror? Oh my god. 💀
Apparently I don’t need to watch it, it is in my brain!
