From the Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlestar_Galactica_(2004_TV_series) it seems that the strike interrupted the production of season 4 but not 3. Which matches my experience. I was with the show up to the end of S3 but then S4 felt meh-ish except for spoiler the Gaeta coup episodes
