    The year is 2024:

We have self driving cars, AIs that can make hyper-realistic images and conversations, advanced genetic engineering, and a plethora of other powerful technologies, sciences and maths and we still have to pay for essentials like food and water, some of which can barely afford to feed themselves and make rent.

    Remember this when you vote.

Why are you surprised that we have to pay for essentials like food and water? We have to pay for everything.

true, some people can’t afford to pay for anything so yes that is a problem.

And who do you suggest we vote for to solve this problem? or are you just vomiting rhetoric to pretend like you are politically invested somehow?

We’ll have to pay one way or another obviously. But taxes exist and should be used for the greater good of the whole population, not as handouts to the greedy. A whole lot of things could/should be paid or subsidised by tax money to make basic needs accessible to everyone, instead of being sold off for profit.

sounds good. And who is the politician to vote for who takes that stance?

I’m gonna ignore the rude, passive aggressive comment that you really wanted to stick to someone today.

It was exactly what it was on the surface, a reminder of present absurdity and a reminder to not forget those which aren’t as well off as us.

But I’m the narcissistic asshole somehow I guess. Makes sense, cool world view.
