When I first heard him sing, I was eight years old, and thought he was just weird. Now I really enjoy him in Faith no More, and a friend says I shouldn’t have ignored Mr. Bungle. I’ll check Fantomas out, for sure.

Edit: I should clarify that I enjoyed their albums as a ten year old, but laughed or rolled my eyes at his embellishments at times. I also learned to appreciate tracks like Jizzlobber and Surprise! You’re Dead! though I didn’t like them when they released. (I was listening to Genesis and Yes and the Police then…)

It was similar for me, i knew him always from Faith no More and found him funny. Then i read something about his vocal abilities and checked Fantomas out… He also made a solo album, only with Italian songs, it’s very strange, but again, i enjoy his vocal antics now much differently than before.

I would like to know, how you find Fantomas - there’s one specific album i recommend: “The Director’s Cut”

It’s the only album that only has movie songs and the one where he really uses his voice range in a very cool way.
