I grew up on Carlin’s HBO specials. If it weren’t for the odd crowd (overly excited in a couple places, flat in a couple others) I wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference. The jokes are witty and in his style. The delivery is excellent and even some of the really subtle inflections of his voice are there.
I don’t know if I’m OK with it, but the execution is incredible. It’s like watching Watson win Jeopardy, or depending on your world views, an episode of Black Mirror in real life.
