Problem is it’s not a $70 game when it’s designed for last gen hardware and only getting graphical and maybe minor updates otherwise. The part 1 remake was ground up and completely changed the experience compared to what it was at launch. That’s not worth paying more than launch pricing for this upcoming remaster. Again to my point god of war dropped their expansion for free understanding the graphics were just fine and they didn’t need to fiddle with other shit just to squeeze out sales on a 2 year old game.
I’ve heard the rumors as well but with all the effort they lost towards the live service game that was recently cancelled I’m skeptical how much progress has been made on a new title. But I also heard this same rumor for the part 1 remakes and remasters as well, so I’m not sure how much is valid vs company pr.
