        I believe it is a garden orb weaver spider, Eriophora Pustulosa, but I’d welcome a correction of anyone knows better. This spider was hanging from a web strand under the eave of my house. Fortunately it didn’t decide to drop on me as I took the photo!

        No lost eyes :) I found an image of the same spider where you can more clearly see the eyes. Comparing this with these eye arrangements, they match the family of Araneidae (orb weavers)
