I was looking at getting some roguelikes / lites (already have ToME, CoQ), unfortunately Cataclysm DDA is not on sale.
Krone Hotel at 90% off looks like a decent choice too. Then there’s Jupiter Hell, which I recently stumbled upon and looks great too.
I’d also like to get some of the FF games, though I’ve played VI, VII, IX and a bit of XII, it would be nice to revisit some of the older ones I haven’t played almost since the PSX era.
I’m considering pulling the trigger on several, specifically No Man’s Sky. Anyone have some considerations on how that game runs?
No Mans Sky is an amazing game! There’s a ton you can do, but admittedly there isn’t much direction telling you what to do (as a pro or a con, you can completely ignore the quests if you want). The main story was actually interesting to me with a cool twist and it serves to introduce a lot of mechanics. Really rough launch, but they’ve been consistently adding new content over the years and there’s so much you can do. Base building? Hella. Flying? Fleet of ships go brrr. Giant freighter ship that you can build a base in/on? Who doesn’t want to make their own completely modular cruise ship to travel the stars in. Cars, mech, riding a giant bouncing slug? Yep, got all that too.
Nms actually runs better on the deck than it does on my desktop. my desktop is a few years old, but it’s no slouch. However, I do use fsr to upscale from a lower resolution.
