The issue is as the blue people move to the South, they will destroy the South with their bad blue ideas. I am Southern by heritage but my only real association with the South is my love of Southern food.

I dont think you understand what welfare is, its hand outs to people that other wise would not make it. And the conservative party has called both of the things you mentioned (subsidies and Social Security) welfare and that the market should determine what and how much of that sector is needed. And I was born on a reservation, I am very familiar with what Americans consider a welfare handout. If you are speaking of just the ones that help out the poor then we will need to stop all the gas/energy credits that would save a ton of money right there. I mean that would save 10 billion in fuel subsidies alone! I mean that would only look like 100$ a person for those that drive and consume fuels, but we saw what that did to trucking nationwide, so it would echo out more to like 300$ a household. But its a start.
Welfare is codified by law. It means it’s defined. Social security is not welfare. Farm subsidies are not welfare.
Neither is defined under the laws around welfare.
please post these laws, and I will have you know that both of those were written and said to be social welfare project so I would assume that language is still in there for them. Once you show me the laws you speak of, I will go ahead and read those bills in better detail and find that language for you.
I’m not sure what you are trying to debate. I was clear in what I said. I’m not going down a weird rabbit hole.
Its not a weird rabbit hole, you said one thing with nothing to back it up and on top of that you doubled down and said it was codified into law. Show me the law you speak of. I told you the language of the programs you called not welfare where they were indeed called just that. Just back up your argument you say is in law.
It is a weird rabbit hole. I said welfare

I do not see farming subsidies on that list? Do you? Do you see fuel subsidies on that list?
Technically only TANF is welfare but the other could be considered welfare.
This isnt the way the law (as you said it was codified into) reads, social welfare programs like earned income tax credits are in fact a subsides for things you do. You have a kid here is X amount, but what the ones you listed are only the ones that help individuals, not corporations or other employers which are still welfare. You are saying that companies can be poor and they still are fine and we go on, but fucking humans, you have a bad year, you loose your right to vote.
Now dont get me wrong, I do think with social programs there should be added weight. We could require those that need help with food for children they get 3 months or what ever the term of the birth control they take is on. Both would be provided freely and it would help make sure that they dont get deeper in debt when they feel the pressure soften. If they dont wish too, then they are fine to say no, but in that case you cant get the help. If you were suggesting those kind of things, you might seem reasonable, but to say they lose the right to vote over it is non-sense.
I am not sure the point you are trying to make. You’re going down a rabbit hole as I said you would. You are so far off topic I’m going to move on.
