They have a remix of “I will remember you” that I haven’t seen anyone on the internet talk about.

I will also remember Apollo! I am so pissed that that wonderful app is gone.

Forced me to try something new, at least. Trying to navigate the fediverse on Memmy right now.

    RIP Apollo. You were wonderful.

Thank you for the recommendation! It is very similar. I’m digging Memmy right now but this may be more up my alley!

It’s very Apollo-like. It’s working well for me, but I’m still a little confused about finding communities, and I wish the place was a bit more active in general. But so far, I like it!

I exported the Apollo json (doesn’t seem to be an option anymore) which held the subs we were subbed to in it. I then created an account on we feed and imported the json there and it tried to connect me to the equivalent communities here. They aren’t as big and it wasn’t perfect, but it did the job… now I switched to Memmy. (Nothing against wefwef I just don’t like web apps).

            I just noticed this.

I updated Apollo on both my phone and iPad before I could export! I was so bummed when I realized that!

I’ve been slowly adding in communities and recreating my Reddit experience.

After a couple updates, I think I’m preferring Memmy right now, as well.

Apparently you still can! Open Apollo and shake the device, you’ll get an option to export local data. Then you can put that export into Wefwef!

I wish I knew this before I deleted the app! There’s no way for me to log back in to get that info, unfortunately, but I hope someone else sees your comment and can benefit from it. Really good to know!

I second wefwef. It’s 85%+ an Apollo clone.

I like it, but I need a native app. My eyesight is poor. Apollo and Memmy let me set text size. I have to zoom in too far to Wefwef to the point where the gestures fuck up when I scroll back and forth.

It’s a great setup though for someone without my limitations.

Edit: I’m a dumbass and didn’t realize there were settings to change text size! Lol. Well now I will have to compare this to my Memmy experience and see what I like more. Thanks for the recommendation.

Visit settings > appearance in wefwef to adjust font size without zoom. Worked for me, at least, but my apologies if you already tried this.

Haha I just found it, but thank you anyway! It definitely helps! I’m not sure what I prefer right now, but I think Wefwef is edging out Memmy for me, at the moment.
