Dunno if the news came up here already but Bournemouth are buying a team in Australia/New Zealand’s pro league, in Auckland. I think they’re going to be in the team from next season. Pretty exciting stuff.

The dude who bought Salernitana to save them from shitting the bed is buying the Newcastle Jets too.

I’m excited, because the A-league has a huge image problem and has struggled to generate interest, but governance of the league has recently been handed from the FA to the clubs. Seeing bigger fish putting money into it has me thinking that maybe change is happening and it might be taken more seriously.
