There are easier puzzles out there. If you didn’t know, generally the easiest puzzles are on Monday, and they get harder everyday of the week. I use an app called Forkyz (on F-Droid, not sure if it’s on play store, but I know there are similar apps) that downloads several crosswords. Try Monday’s Thomas Joseph or Sheffer for some easier puzzles.
I wish I did better with crosswords, sometimes I can fill out 5-10 answers but it’s so sparse it’s hard to check myself.

“Loves speed and energy” = OOMPH (as in “oomph” is a word meaning energy, or 'Oo! Miles-per-hour!" as in “loves speed”).
