I was a Wayland detractor, had very bad experiences with it in the past, but I decided to give it a try again, and it’s time to say goodbye to Xorg.

Let’s talk about #Linux on the desktop, #Gnome and the state of #Wayland in 2024.

    It’s not a matter of Wayland becoming ready for Nvidia, but Nvidia becoming ready for Wayland.

    Getting them mixed up is like saying Linux has a Microsoft Office/Adobe Photoshop compatibility problem, as opposed to the other way around.

    And for what it’s worth, with the latest Nvidia driver, Nvidia finally seems to be updating their crappy drivers with Wayland support.

      You can want it to work that way and I’d agree. It doesn’t. The end user does not care.
