Nowhere does it state it won’t support multiple different runs with a single save slot each. The focus is that you can’t revert back 5 saves in your current run to undo something.
The first game only let you have one character playing the game. If you try a new game is warns that the old save will be overwritten. I looked last night when I was playing. I doubt they change this for Dragons Dogma 2. We’ll see.
Nobody uses ‘runs’ to describe what you are describing, different campaigns/characters/ what ever are referred to as save slots. Elden Ring is a recent game which all reviews state has multiple save slots, but each autosaves so you cannot load an earlier version of that save slot. The game Stray has three save slots, and each one autosaves as you go.
A save slot is what you want to call a ‘run’ and as clearly stated in the title and article DD2 has one save slot.
Could be multiple game saves, but only 1 slot each.
