The Red Bull’s locked out the front-row on home soil and battled it out in an action-packed Sprint in wet-to-dry conditions.
New sprint rules this year. The sprint is completely separate from qualifying and the actual race. Instead, there is a Sprint Shootout before the sprint, which is basically a fast quali specifically for the sprint. The sprint has its own points separate from the Sunday race.

Ah, thanks. It was making me crazy. I only was able to catch the qualifying highlights and a sprint replay- I didn’t hear anyone mention a sprint shoot out qualifying… it was fun to watch, rain never hurts, though another race to see Max and red bull win is a bit meh.
I missed something I think. Why was the starting grid of the sprint race so different from the qualifying results?

Oh wow I completely missed the Sprint Shootout then. How early was it, like half an hour before the race? I’m not even sure it was broadcast here.

Means that Saturday is now completely disconnected from the rest of the weekend, which is shit imho.
