The Defender Mark I is an eight-barreled [20 gauge] combination gun of sorts, with the eight barrels built around a double action revolver-like mechanism fired by a hammer. Yeah, that sounds like something you’d try to prevent, not facilitate with a special trigger.
At the time it was kind of the hot thing in the tactical world. Basically the idea was if you’re close enough to not need to aim you shouldn’t because that means you can shoot back sooner.
