Idk I’ve seen plenty of comments and posts (even here on Lemmy) asking for pirate game recommendations, and one of the top answers every single time is AC: Black Flag.
So there is definitely a market for pirate games. Tbh though I don’t think I’ve ever even watched a trailer for Skull & Bones.
The issue for me is that I liked the exploration outside the ship as well as the ship itself and Skull and Bones is just the ship parts, so it’s always looked like half a game to me.
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone interested in this game since it was first announced, idk why Ubisoft is still dumping money into it
