Someone can knowingly be an idiot.

His history is really interesting. He wasn’t always a raging republican. He realized it worked and got views though, so here we are. I’d highly reccommend watching Some More News’ video on the guy, it’s interesting and kinda funny in all of the depressing ways.

A lot of these extreme “center” (ahem) media personalities are simply doing it for views. Boggles my noggin.

I have this Mandela-effect thing where I am certain I remember him being on The Daily Show ages ago, and not as a raging republican. At one point I thought I might have him confused with Mo Rocca. In any case, I have found no evidence that he was, I think I have just badly misremembered.

Is it possible you’re thinking of that time Jon Stewart was on Tucker Carlson’s show, rather than vice versa?

No that’s way WAY too recent. I’m talking 90s or very early 00s.

To be clear, I have made peace with the fact that this is a false memory, but it persists nonetheless. 😀

Whatever the commenter deems it’s definition, I would like to hear why they said he’s an idiot

They said that he was a “useful idiot” which has a specific meaning.

            https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Useful_idiot

A useful idiot is a person perceived as propagandizing for a cause—particularly a bad cause originating from a devious, ruthless source—without fully comprehending the cause’s goals, and who is cynically being used by the cause’s leaders.

Thank you. That would make the most sense. Would still be nice to hear the commentor’s reasons
