Put a gun to your head and pull the trigger = going to Hell

Free solo a mountain and lose your grip and die = going to Heaven or Hell?

Getting addicted to Fentanyl and dying = going to Heaven or Hell?

This seems likely to be the most accurate view of the universe we live in, but fails to engage with the hypothetical being asked about.

This hypothetical doesn’t deserve anything more than the response provided.

Would’ve been easier to just scroll by than click into it and remind everyone that the hypothetical doesn’t need to be engaged with like an internet edgelord.

I don’t like the spread of hypothetical propaganda that is not helpful to moving the human race foward.

Your comment also pertains to your comment. Two sides of the blade

I disagree, hypotheticals and thought experiments can be fun and let you consider questions from new, different perspectives. Do you think every conversation you participate in online moves the human race forward? Do you have delusions of grandeur or something it’s just the fucking internet.

We’re done here though, you clearly have no interest in the actual question and just want to be smug and superior on the internet. So have fun with that fuckin’ dork.

Hypothetical about a myth that is detrimental to humanity is not helpful and should be ridiculed. It is a bad faith(intentional) question that isn’t worth hypothizing.

Thanks for coming to my hypothesis of the bad faith question

I just saw another asklemmy post about what fantasy or folklore creature you’d marry you better get over there and tell everyone those creatures don’t exist.

                Serious question, are you autistic?

Fantasy and folklore are not religion. Big difference in the questions and their intent.

Stooping to insults and derogatory insinuation against a group of people is telling. Mocking someone’s belief in a mythical religion is fair game as it is a choice. Mocking people for what is out of their control is just cruel.

Hard disagree, a lot of times they’re the same.

                    Stooping to insults

I asked a pretty simple question based on your reaction to a hypothetical. That you assume it’s a negative and an insult speaks to your prejudices, not mine.
