We often don’t take the right not to vote seriously enough. For centuries, black people in America had to give their votes to white people who didn’t fully represent them and hadn’t earned their votes, until the Right Not to Vote Act of 1965 came along. At last, they had the power to refuse to vote for anyone until the system produced better candidates, and liberal white politicians who hadn’t been doing enough for civil rights were forced to improve their positions so people would start voting again. That’s definitely how it all works. Civil rights leaders would actually regularly make speeches urging everyone in the crowd not to vote, because the politicians weren’t good enough yet.
Our right not to vote has never been more important than in this upcoming election. Not only is Biden a known old person and has been seen making verbal mistakes, unlike Trump, but this year for the first time in history the United States is supporting Israel with money and weapons. Their recent murderous invasion was totally on Biden’s initiative. He actually does a little celebration every night with Dr. Jill. He says: “Oh thank God there’s a big war in Gaza now. My plan that I orchestrated is working perfectly. Thank God.” He lays down at night happy and peaceful, warmed by the thought that maybe it’ll escalate to war with Iran and make his life even better. So we definitely have to punish him by not electing him, so that he’ll have to retire and spend time with his family, and we’ll be left happy and free in a Trump-operated country. It definitely won’t make a difference to any of us or to any vulnerable people anywhere inside or outside the United States.
Remember: Instead of voting, the most important and best way to stop the massacre in Gaza is to be rude and cynical about the whole system on the internet, and then stay home in November. If our inaction leads to Trump winning, that might be the final push that was really needed to set things on the right track in the Middle East. Arabs, like virtually all non-white people at home or abroad, have never been happier or safer than when Trump is in charge of everything including the US military, domestic law enforcement and foreign aid.
Information on what not to do:
First and foremost, you don’t have to wait until November and then not vote. I would also highly recommend that you not contact your representatives and send them your thoughts on the atrocity in Gaza. Simply not voting and explaining yourself on Lemmy is plenty to change the system. However, if do you feel compelled to not vote and also not send them a message about how you feel:

The vitally important bit, though, is that you not vote. Do not click:
