Video game adaptions of anime have had a rough go of things in recent years, and there doesn't seem to be any indication of it getting better.

Okay but really, why are they all boring 3D fighters that have barely changed since the PS2 era?

Yes, way stronger in japan since game is still mainly arcade, but they appear as a side tournament in EVO all the time.
