I got the help of a bunch of smart folk to be able to automate the generation of those data tables. I’m going to miss the most complex one (helicopter) once they lose contact with it, but it’s been really busy since flight 72 made its hard and final landing. It has sent back an amazing number of images from its final resting place (1,649 and counting) They’ll use those for engineering evaluation, wiggling the rotor actuators and spinning the blades. Even though the cameras can’t see the blades directly they have imaged the shadows on the ground of the rotors, taking 600 images some days. It’s been a fascinating few days watching those images come down. I’m not gonna lie, it’s gonna be a tough day when the final images arrive.
After all this time I still love these data sheets.
