We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to c/stopdrinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

Good going! Just putting the finishing touches on day twelve! Haven’t felt this damn good in years!

Sobernauts is the best word I’ve ever heard (read?? whatever…) I dig it!

It’s from reddit’s stop drinking subreddit. I like the undertones of bold adventure 😁

Right… It’s so hard to shake reddit! I still think it’s groovy, though.

I finally deleted all my reddit posts and comments and my account yesterday, after the news about the AI training deal. But I’m keeping “sobernauts”.

I left the day before the big 3rd. party walkout. I was still drinking pretty heavily every night at the time, so never checked out that thread. But, I’m with ya on keeping sobernauts. I only ever used RedReader on there, and even though they got a pass somehow, I just couldn’t stick with em treating their creators that way. Reddit was getting pretty fuckin toxic overall, in all but the smallest communities. Don’t miss it at all.
