After some time away from EVE (arguably quite some time) I felt like getting back into it. I have had some good times and some terrible times but all in all I like most of it.

After installing the game and logging back in, trying to figure out what all my accounts were and what they were good at, I realised that the Omega price has gone through the roof so much that I’d rather live with the itch and find something else to do.

It’s sad though, because I liked the universe but I can simply not spend that kind of money on a game

Came back to it for about a year during covid lockdown, had a great time in faction warfare, but quit when they raised their monthly subscription prices. Not worth it. You hardly get half the game play without a sub. Game is too much of a grind even with a sub, so most ppl multibox. Bots are rampant too.

Personally, I actually came back for the grind. I like the laid back gameplay of mining and transporting. I had looked forward to getting better at exploration. But $20 for laid back, casual grindy gaming, is too much for me.

I just recently started playing again, I’m having fun on the alpha front. I should be able to start making decent isk soon so hopefully I can just Plex my omega

I am sure you could but then it becomes a job just to be able to play. You’ll end up doing stuff for hours just to pay for subs. Sure its fun to achieve a few months in a row but youd also want to play the game instead of making ISK

Yeah maybe - suppose I could just bulk pay my omega upfront to save money. Maybe I’ll do that later - I’m fine cruising in my venture right now tbh
