Yeah, the OG comic was released in 12 parts, one month at a time.
Before that, there was an annual “Crisis on Earth…” in Justice League which they used as an excuse to team up the JLA on Earth 1 with the JSA on Earth 2.
All those pre-Crisis Crises were collected in a series called “Crisis on Multiple Earths”.
I mean, I DID have to wait 12 months for Crisis to finish back when it came out. ;)
