Starting Monday, double fares for thousands of Toronto and GTA transit riders will no longer be a thing, as the Ford government's One Fare program takes effect.
This is a good idea, but let’s hope it isn’t just a vote buying scheme for the GTA that turns out to be ludicrously expensive in a couple of years (which wouldn’t surprise me considering this is coming from the Conservatives)
Who gives a fuck why it was implemented. It’s gonna save my family and I money. What’s the point of the province saving money, just to give it to a corporation or some shit. The government paying for transit is exactly why they’re there.
You’re delusional if you think that money was going to hospitals, even if so it was going to the executives, I know this as someone who worked at Sunnybrook, not a single cent of that money way going to nurses, staff or supplies

If it comes at the expense of health care, education, and emergency services, then it’s not worth it.
The ER should never close due to shortage of resources.

They will probably save more money on reduced road maintenance and upgrades than will be lost on fares.
