I could almost believe that, actually. It’s easy to get initially approved for SNAP, but they’ll follow up to get proof of your being low-income pretty soon and then cancel if you can’t/don’t do so.
Except that the program hasn’t been called “food stamps” in ages, so she clearly is making it up.
Everyone I have ever known to receive SNAP has still called it “food stamps” even though they physical mechanism these days is a debit card. It’s just ingrained into American culture at this point. The name is probably not going anywhere any time soon.

Right, but the form she shared a picture of says “food stamps”, and that’s just not going to happen.
It’s a blank form too, probably just a stock photo.
We still use an image of a floppy disk to save documents.
They also don’t call it “welfare” any more.
