It is legitimately shocking how hard it is to tell the difference between leftist trolls and right wing trolls these days.
Say what you will about the tenets of enlightenment liberalism. At least it’s an ethos.
Right-wingers will just call you a slur, leftists will call you a liberal and usually write several paragraphs, because (if nothing else) they believe strongly in their positions. The disillusionment simultaneously gives them infinite energy in posting online, but saps it away when voting comes around.
I’d respect the ethos of liberalism more if the average modern liberal could still describe it.
