So the article says it’ll be detecting the presence of dark matter and energy by gravitational lensing and galaxy clustering. The former, gravitational lensing is how black holes were first discovered correct? How do we differentiate between the gravitational lensing caused by black holes vs dark matter/energy?

Is it just a matter of detecting this gravitational lensing but not the presence of x-rays and other phenomena you would expect consistent with a black hole?
