I went to school for engineering ( wanted to R&D green tech), due to a transfer program mix up I never completed my degree. However even without a degree I still landed in a field that works for me and am doing okay. I suspect I would have been in a substantially worse life position if I continued college due to:
Finances: I make about as much as I would as an engineer and tuition would’ve broken me.
Job: as much as I would’ve loved it, I think I peaked with the environment I work in now as it’s reasonably low stress and taking your time is paramount over hard work crunch and massive hour commitments.
