I went to a 2 year technical college, gained an airframe and powerplant license. I’ve worked as an aircraft mechanic since 1998, the longest I’ve been without work was a month in 2008. It doesn’t pay as much as most people think but I’ve made a decent living worst part of the job was working inside the fuel tank of a Airbus A320.
