Former President Donald Trump on Monday suggested he was open to making cuts to Social Security and Medicare after opposing touching the entitlement programs and attacking his GOP presidential primary rivals over the issue.
This is going to get a few billionaires on his side but risks alienation of the older voters – who historically vote in far higher numbers. Not really a good play.
But will they actually know? Their news comes from far-right sources and Facebook. The former will fail to mention it and the latter will burry any articles that pop up.
Right now pensioners are getting economically whipped, along with everybody else and trying to take away security from an old person who’s on shaky economic ground already is probably not going to endear them to the prospect of voting Trump.

Pensioners have shown us time and again that they are more than willing to vote against their own interests. I don’t know why you’d doubt them now.
