minus-squaregonzo0815linkfedilink1•2 years agoAs far as i know boletes are safe to taste, at least in Europe. Tylopilus felleus is a mean little shit though, the disgusting gall taste stays on your tongue for hours. I think i was wrong with tylopilus though, this one might be leccinellum sp.
That’s my best guess, I’m fairly ignorant about them but it’s not too tricky. Bitter or brown birch, but I’m not keen on taste tests at this stage.
