After @[email protected] was able to get in contact with @[email protected], I volunteered to help moderate this community. I would like to thank both of them for doing the legwork of creating this community/and doing work to keep it running!
I have been a lifelong football/soccer fan and am happy to help keep this community on track and discussing the sport we all love.
If you see something missing on the sidebar (or anywhere else), please let me know!
With that out of the way, does anyone have any photoshop/editing skills? It would be nice to create a banner for this community but that is not something I am excel in so happy to take contributions!

Looking at example of the banner here (https://lemmy.world/c/lemmyworld), it is much larger (2484x950), it adapts as you change window size. I’ll see if I can make it bigger to get rid of the pixelation.
Edit: https://lemmy.world/c/nostupidquestions has banner that doesnt crop on different screen sizes so I’ll template that instead.

That looks pretty slick, I like that a lot more.
I like this one. Reminds me of the medals they used to give to you as a kid at football tournaments (Not that I’ve got many).
I don’t mind the badge by itself but the repeated Lemmy logo on both the icon and the banner next to eachother doesn’t look good to me. Easiest solution is maybe to just remove the Lemmy icon from the banner and just have it be a football pitch with all the signatures? I also wouldn’t mind the soccer ball being more prominent in the icon/badge somehow, but maybe that is just nostalgia for the old place and the comfort of the familiar.
I like the 3rd one but open to any of them they are great!
