My current setup is has both my pc (supports 6GHz band) and quest 3 connected over wifi to my Netgear Nighthawk AX5400 as I have no easy way of setting up an Ethernet connection. Using airlink can get pretty choppy and quality drop significantly when stuff starts moving fast, although it could just be airlink being shit since I’ve also tried steam link and it was miles better. I just tried the TPlink axe5400 wifi 6e router but was met with even worse performance. The link speed was jumping between 1150-1800mbps compared to the locked 2401mbps of my old netgear. Even the 5ghz band on the tplink was garbage, and making matters worse there were 11 other devices connected to the netgear compared to only my pc and quest on the TP-Link.

I think OP is referring to the WiFi 6E standard, not the Ethernet categories.

Oh, thanks for clarification. I remember either tomahawk or general cabling selling cat 6e a couple years back.

Tangentally, the only long distance cat 6 that’s marketed for higher speeds is Paige gamechanger cable.

You’re correct, though - there is no Cat 6e standard. It’s just a marketing gimmick called “Cat 6 enhanced.” You may or may not see better performance from it. This is a nice short summary.
