It’s probably more due to increased asymmetric partisan polarization than anything. The same issue shows in polling on the economy. When Trump was in, republicans reported that the economy was great. As soon as Biden took office, the economy was doing horribly.
Like how Obama was responsible for the 2007 recession despite congress passing laws about it before he was even inaugurated. Two terms later and the country sees record economic growth… which trump then tried to take credit for…
That’s a good point but that’s always been the case, more or less, regarding the economy. I think there’s a bit more to it than that this time around.
Biden’s administration has been landed not just with the post-COVID situation regarding the economy and immigration but also having to prop up Israel’s most bloodthirsty rampage in decades.
